I have always preferred wearing dress watches with leather straps—they are ultra-thin, lightweight, fit the wrist perfectly, and exude an understated elegance. However, during a recent outing, I was caught in a sudden downpour; watching my alligator leather strap get soaked was truly distressing. Consequently, I decided to buy a "super clone" watch to serve as a daily-wear alternative. I had previously been interested in the 41mm Yellow Gold Submariner, and after some searching, I finally found one here that I really liked. Weighing over 200 grams, it certainly took some time to get used to. It features an 18K yellow gold case and Oyster bracelet (note: only the outer layer is real gold, not the core), making it impervious to the elements. Although the clone 3235 movement offers only a 48-hour power reserve, it is robust and durable. After wearing it for a while, I am, on the whole, very satisfied.

I sold my genuine yellow gold Rolex 126618 due to the financial crisis; I have to marvel at Rolex's value retention, as a reseller was still willing to buy it back for $43,000. Still, it was absolutely heartbreaking. I’m not into fashion, but I have a real passion for watches. Only a fellow watch lover could truly understand the pain of selling a watch—not for the sake of trading up, but out of sheer necessity. It hurts so much! In the meantime, I bought a replica; it arrived in about two weeks, and the photo here shows the replica itself. It’s not bad at all, and I believe I’ll be able to buy back my genuine yellow gold Rolex 126618 in the near future.
